I moved here in 1987, with my wife, Dinny, and daughter, Megan, after selling an outdoor business in Santa Barbara, California. Friends and cross country skiing drew us here. The small town atmosphere, the people and the wealth of outdoor activities kept us here.
I soon decided to pursue real estate, in a market that was just emerging from several harsh years of double digit interest rats and little activity.. Dinny put her accounting and management skills to work managing the largest construction company in town. Megan started school.
Over twenty years have passed. Truckee has grown and changed. Pacific Crest Properties came into being and has grown from a company of just two agents to one of eighteen diverse dedicated people sharing the same ideals and goals in business and love of the mountains in their personal lives. As a group we hope to share that love with our clients, folks who become a part of our extended family'.
Dinny and I made a decision in 2007 to follow different personal paths. While we've ended our marriage, we remain committed to our business partnership and managing the future growth of Pacific Crest Properties in its continued growth.
I'm continually thankful that I'm able to live and work here. I love helping people find the magic that the area offers and sharing my experience with them. I'm fortunate, also, to work with a group of people that challenge and teach me. The newer agents pose questions that allow me to look at things with a more open mind. My seasoned associates are sounding boards for ideas and instrumental in the decisions the business makes. It's a rich environment that benefits those of us in the company and the clients we serve.
Today I enjoy the luxury of working with my daughter, Megan and watching her develop her business. Even more enjoyable is watching her family grow and her personal growth as a mom and wife. I'm a pretty lucky guy in many ways!
When I'm not in the office I love hiking throughout the area, riding my bike, skiing in winter and exploring a new interest, kayaking. Music, the arts and reading are quiet pastimes I enjoy at home, along with my interest in food and cooking.
If my experience in the area and in real estate appeals to you, I would appreciate the opportunity to help you find the magic you're looking for and the enjoyment I've found here.
